Richard S. Diamond
"Of Counsel" is a term that refers to an attorney who serves as outside counsel to the firm. His role is to facilitate certain matters, serve as an advisor, or work on particular cases. Furthermore, the American Bar Association Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility has noted that an "of counsel" designation serves to describe an attorney who is available for consultation, has a close relationship with the firm, and works on limited cases.
